The historic center

In addition to offering wonderful beaches, Sperlonga is also a charming village. The small city made up of narrow streets offers excellent ideas for a holiday to discover the local culture.

A characteristic element of this location are the four towers. Built in the Middle Ages to defend themselves from the Saracens, today they are one of the most visited tourist destinations. The Central Tower and the Torre del Nibbio are now incorporated among the houses of the town, giving that perched and tortuous appearance. The Truglia Tower , however, has been restored several times, and has also hosted the headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza for several decades, which is why it remains in good condition. The small and picturesque churches of Sperlonga are also worth a visit, mostly located in the ancient heart of the city.
